2 Super Easy Bohemian Hairstyles:

How much time does it take you to get ready?

Depending on the day, I can take at least 30 minutes or, my worst days, hours and hours. I think I spend a lot of time just staring at my clothes, hoping they’ll throw themselves at me so I don’t have to crack my head thinking what outfit to wear today. Once I’ve finally chosen the clothes, I realize I don’t have enough time to spare for hair and makeup. Thus, I usually put on a black mascara and a nice lipstick, that’s it. What happens with my hair? Nothing, I do nothing to it because of the lack of time.

This week I wanted to focus on easy hairstyles that I could do in five minutes and share it with you guys. I came up with two pretty easy ones haha, I’m no professional here so bare with me :) I think both can work with long or short hair. What are your go to hairstyles when you are in a hurry? I would love to read your comments on these two hairstyle that I came up with, and if you have easy hairstyles to share, that would be great :)

Before I go on, staying on the topic of hair, I wanted to share with you something I wrote for the Talk Shop on Disqus. It’s a discussion about the dilema of having long or short hair, you can read it here. The Talk Shop is a fun beauty forum where people come up with a topic to discuss and everyone shares their thoughts, funny stories, or even advices related to the topic. So, you are welcome to read, comment, and share your thoughts! I think you don’t have to be a member of Disqus to participate.

Hairstyle #1

  1. Part your hair in a zigzag line. It does’t have to be perfect and it can be messy (like mine haha).
  2. Grab a small strand of hair from your right side, the one closer to your face, and lightly twist it. With a bobby pin, pin it in a downward diagonal direction. Repeat this on the left side.

Hairstyle #2

  1. Part your hair to one side, either left or right, whichever you feel looks better.
  2. Grab a medium strand of hair from the opposite side to which you parted your hair (the side that has more hair now). This strand has to be located in the middle of your head, not closest to your face.
  3. Start doing a french braid, grabbing small strands from left and right sides of the original strand. Continue french braiding until you have reach about 2 or 3 fingers height and then keep doing a simple braid.
  4. Tie your braid with a transparent elastic band (I only had a yellow one haha).
  5. You can leave the braid like that or, grab a bobby pin and pin the braid in a downward diagonal direction, as observed in the photo.

Hope you enjoyed these hairstyles!
