Sometimes in my spare time, or when I log into Instagram (which is every morning haha), I like to find photos of different makeup looks that inspire me to create future blogposts. This past few weeks I’ve observed that a lot of girls have been using colored eyeliners. Their makeup looked fun and using these type of eyeliners can add a pop of color to your whole look. So, for this week’s blogpost I decided to create two makeup looks using a green and a purple eyeliner. One of the main reasons I began Sunny Days was to share my journey, my experiences with you. I’m not a professional when it comes to cooking or doing my makeup haha, but I think that’s the fun in anything, the fun part is learning, and hopefully you can relate to me in that sense :) Well, enough of the rumbling, let’s begin!
First Look: Revlon Skinny Liquid Liner in Green Spark
For this first look, I wanted to do the traditional winged eyeliner and then sort of outline it with this green liquid liner. I can’t say it was easy for me because at the time I did my makeup my hands were shaky haha. Also, funny enough, while choosing which pictures to use for this post, I noticed that unintentionally I created a Christmasy makeup look haha, it has green, red and golden :P Anyways, I hope you like it!
- I started off by applying Dior’s Diorskin Forever Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Makeup. I didn’t want a full coverage so I lightly applied only one coat, as I wanted to keep my skin as natural as I could. If you are going to be using this look for going out or for an event, I think it would look lovely with a strong foundation and some bronzing. By the way, I’m running out of foundation, which one would you recommend me?
- Next, using Pacifica’s Enlightening Eye Brightening Shadow Palette, I placed the Golden eyeshadow all over my eyelid. A thing I liked about these eyeshadows is that they are super pigmented. Also, this brand makes natural, sort of organic, makeup without, which is always good to know.
- Using the same palette, I applied the light nude eyeshadow, Skinny Dip, for my crease. The reason why I used a neutral toned eyeshadow is because I wanted the eyeliner to really stand out, but you could modify this and use a darker brown eyeshadow to add depth to your eyes.
- After blending the eyeshadows, I used Maybelline’s Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner in the color black. This product is perfect if you don’t like using gel or pencil eyeliners. Because it’s in the shape of a pen, I think it’s easier to work with this rather than a gel eyeliner.
- I waited for the black eyeliner to dry a bit and then continued to outline the winged eyeliner with Revlon’s Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Green Spark. I really liked the product’s green tone. It’s a medium toned green that has some shimmer to it. Also, it’s really pigmented. I didn’t have to apply two coats to get a uniform color, only one coat was enough. I really liked it!
- Finally, I used Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara to add some volume to my eyelashes.
- To finish this look, I went for red glossy lips with Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic.
Second Look: Lancome’s Artliner 24 hr in Amethyst
For the second look, I wanted to change a bit from the first one and only use the colored eyeliner. I have to credit my mom for donating her purple eyeliner for this blogpost haha. This look ended up been a look that contained different shades of purple haha, but I liked the results. I hope you like it too!
- Like the previous look, I started off using Dior’s Diorskin Forever Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Makeup. I applied only one coat all over my face just to have a light coverage.
- Next, I applied, to my eyelid, Coral Sand from the Pacifica’s Enlightening Eye Brightening Shadow Palette, which is a nice coral pink eyeshadow.
- Using the same palette, I applied Urchin to my crease, which is a plum/purple eyeshadow. This darker color was great for adding depth to the eyes. I really liked how it looked with the purple eyeliner.
- To line my eyes, I used Lancome’s Artliner 24hr in Amethyst, which is a pastel purple. Lancome has some amazing makeup products of great quality. I really liked this eyeliner. It’s pigmented but I had to apply two coats because I felt that with only one coat, the eyeliner didn’t stood out so much.
- To finish my eyes, I applied Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara to add some volume to my eyelashes.
- Finally, continuing with the purple theme haha, I used Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipstick in Dazzling Plum.
I hope you enjoy these two looks! Let me know what you think in the comment section :) Will you be using colored eyeliners? Which colored eyeliner do you like?
